LifeWalk – October 1, 2017
- LifeWalk is fun! Be part of Texas’ largest AIDS Walk & Festival!
- LifeWalk is a 5k fun run/walk followed by a festival in beautiful Lee Park: Local vendors, health providers, food trucks, music, pet adoptions, children’s activities and free, confidential HIV testing.
- There are many ways to volunteer: from a year long commitment on the Steering Committee to passing out water the day of the event.
- Whether you raise funds and walk, or volunteer your time, you make a huge difference.

Red Ribbon Society membership is based on a personal, annual gift of $1,000 or more. One time, monthly giving, and gifts of stock are welcome.

Thank you so much for your interest in donating your time and partnering with Prism Health North Texas! Dedicated volunteers make it possible to help so many in our community. Prism Health North Texas offers a variety of opportunities for community involvement in the fight against HIV/AIDS and helping those individuals and families impacted by it.
We love working with you to find what skills and special interests you want to share. Some of the opportunities include:
During the hours of 9-5pm, assist with data entry, creating intake and donor packets, condom packet assembly, copy and file maintenance, etc. These tasks are crucial to the Agency’s community efforts, outreach, and care.
Special Event Volunteers
Prism Health North Texas hosts many events to raise funds for HIV services. They are always a lot of fun! Special events typically occur on weeknights and weekends.

School Supply Drive – July/August
School supplies and back packs are requested from May through August 15 for our annual School Supply Drive. Your support provides over 250 children who live in HIV-impacted homes with their required school supplies each year. Call Neacy Turner at 214-521-5191 for more details.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Canned food donations are requested from November 1 through November 20 for Thanksgiving Food Baskets provided to low income clients. Each year your support provides over 125 Turkey dinners to clients in need. Call Daron Kirven at 214-521-5191 for more details.
Holiday Toy Drive – December
Toys for children and teens are needed from November 1st through December 9th this year for low income clients with children. Your support also provides gift baskets to single clients who have no family to celebrate the holidays. Toiletries, aftershave, cologne, slippers and other small adult items are needed. World AIDS Day – December 1st
Every year, on December 1st, people gather to commemorate World AIDS Day to raise awareness, educate the public, and fight prejudice and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. Prism Health North Texas along with other organizations in North Texas to come together to mark this day.
Started by the World Health Organization in 1988, World AIDS Day is one of the most widely recognized international awareness days, serving as a reminder of all the lives taken away too early, and all the work left to do to beat the disease.
Annually, Prism Health North Texas participates with C.U.R.E. (Community. Unity. Respect. Education) to honor this special day. Please visit C.U.R.E. for more details.
